Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening is a popular method to get rid of stains and pigment on the surface of the teeth, give teeth a younger glowing appearance and restore lost self-confidence. At our dental clinic in Brno, we perform both in-office teeth whitening and the home version.

Teeth whitening is painless

The essence of whitening is the removal of pigment from the enamel of the teeth, which results in the lightening of the colour of the teeth. Who is teeth whitening suitable for? The most common indications are staining caused by congenital, systemic, metabolic, pharmacological or traumatic factors (dental fluorosis, jaundice, tetracycline and monocycline stains).

However, since teeth whitening is primarily an aesthetic solution, we recommend it to anyone who feels dissatisfied with the shade of their teeth. Teeth whitening also makes sense for severely dark-coloured teeth, which will lighten by several shades after a painless procedure.

What's the difference between whitening your teeth at the dentist and at home

With professional teeth whitening, you can achieve a whiter shade of teeth in the long term. At Diente, we use the following proven whitening methods:

1. Dental whitening

  • Teeth whitening takes place in the dentist's office (with special teeth whitening gels).
  • It is less time-consuming (30-60 min.).
  • The result is visible after the 1st teeth whitening.

2. Teeth whitening at home

  • Before whitening, you will receive a briefing from your dentist or dental hygienist.
  • However, it is necessary to create an individual carrier for the whitening gel in order to whiten your teeth at home.
  • The carriers are made according to dental impressions.
  • Teeth whitening at home is done at home.
  • The patient applies the whitening gel to his/her mouth at night in a tray.
  • The tooth whitening agent is less aggressive.
  • This method of whitening has a positive effect on the gums.

Effective teeth whitening - results after just 1 visit

The result is visible after the first visit, for a more pronounced effect, book multiple visits. The teeth whitening effect lasts up to several years depending on the thoroughness of care, lifestyle and individual factors.
