Endodontic treatment (endodontics) focuses on treating advanced tooth decay when the infection has penetrated so deeply into the tooth that the nerve has become inflamed. How do our dentists proceed with treatment?
Untreated tooth decay progresses to more severe damage to the tooth pulp and infection in the root canal, also known as nerve inflammation.
Endodontic treatment involves removing the infected tooth nerve, thoroughly cleaning the root canals running through the root of the tooth, and then filling them with material that will aid healing and prevent further bacteria from entering.
Endodontic instruments
Our dentists use the vertical gutta-percha condensation method to fill the root system of the tooth. This is a 3D hermetic filling of the root canals with liquid gutta-percha (a substance that seals off the microscopic spaces of the root canal). The entire root canal system must be thoroughly chemically disinfected before the actual filling of the canal. Therefore, the whole treatment is time-consuming. The necessary length of the root canal is determined by X-ray and apexlocator, and the canal itself is processed by machine endodontics. All steps are performed under visual control with an operating microscope. Endodontic treatment is painless.
Price of endodontic examination
If you suspect or have been directly diagnosed by your dentist with advanced caries, do not hesitate to visit a dental office. Early and high-quality endodontic treatment by a top dentist can fully heal the inflammation and preserve the affected tooth. The cost of the procedure varies depending on the complexity of the case.
